Unsplash

  • Unlimited downloads of high-quality images

With Unsplash, you can receive high-quality photographs for free to use in your text. It's something I utilise practically every time I write.

Check the image's resolution for your needs, since many of these images might be quite large

Check the license, As long as it says free to use you're good to go. Here's the specification of the Uplash free license from their website.

  • All photos can be downloaded and used for free
  • Commercial and non-commercial purposes
  • No permission needed (though attribution is appreciated!)

What is not permitted 👎

  • Photos cannot be sold without significant modification.
  • Compiling photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service.

Hemingway App

  • Identifies hard-to-read sentences and provides suggestions for improvement

Sometimes you might end up writing without thinking about the complexity. The Hemingway App tells you which sentences are hard to read. By keeping your content simple it feels precise and to the point. That's exactly what you want as a copywriter. You want the user to understand what you mean, quickly without having to think much. If you keep using it, you won't need it much eventually because you will have learned a lot.

Unlike Grammarly, The Hemmingway App won’t bug you with constant pop ups and call to actions for you to become a paid member. Even if you decide to pay for the paid features, it won't set you back since it's a small one-time purchase.

Quillbot

  • Paraphrases text up to 700 characters per day

Quillbolt is an excellent paraphrasing tool which can make your copy sound different. It offers various settings to change the way your copy sounds and it feels very natural to use. I use it every time I'm having a writer's block. It lets you process upto 700 characters at once while you’re using the free version. It does some grammar checks as well which gives it a nice touch.

You no longer need to hire professional copywriters to write content for you. It is free, simple, and easy to use this tool.

Rytr

  • Generates 5,000 words of copy per month

Rytr is a GPT-3 based copywriting AI platform bundled with a generator tool. You can get an abundance of auto-generated copies in a matter of seconds which makes it a best fit for non-professionals and newbies. It can also be used by professionals to get seo-targeted writing assistance. Rytr has a vast majority of use cases – from writing email copies to creating sales pitches. So, if you are a business owner it would be your one-stop station for all needs.

It comes with two frameworks – AIDA and PAS which makes it unique amongst all. With Rytr, you can write in 30 different languages that serve the purpose of targeting native audiences.

It offers a free plan to write 5000 words per month and if that’s not enough you can upgrade to cheaper plans in future.

Evernote

  • Takes notes, clips web pages, and creates to-do lists

Evernote on its face value may not seem like it's anything more than a simple note taking application. But it goes beyond. Taking notes about the information you learn while writing is very useful. This becomes crucial when you’re writing content pieces that are large. What I personally like about Evernote is that you can clip web pages and attach anything else you want.

You can also create some nice to-do lists and connect it all to your personal devices. There are alternatives like OneNote which may be better. But I personally still prefer using Evernote. It feels like the team is hyper focused on making a notes application and the simplicity with features built on top of it  is a plus for me.

Wordtune

  • Rewrites text up to 20 times per day

If you enjoyed using Quillbot you need to give Wordtune a go. Wordtune is also a free AI rewriting tool. It does the same thing as quillbot and has a nice plugin that you can install on chrome. Once you select any text you can click the Wordtune logo or press Ctrl/Cmd+D to open the rewrite panel. Here you can select which version you want to keep. The catch here is that it's limited to 20 rewrites a day.

Copy.ai

  • Generates 10,000 words of copy per month

Copy.ai is another artificial intelligent GPT-3 based platform which auto-generates copies. Unlike Rytr, users don't get an editor wizard to write on-platform copies. It can generate copies in 12 different languages. It may seem no better than Rytr but it’s broad spectrum use-cases make it outshine others. It has 70+ integrated use-cases while Rytr comes with 32, less than half of copy.ai.

It was designed while keeping time constraints in mind, especially for those who seek best in less time.

If you have a product ready in hand – Why wait? Start Pitching. Though the tool comes with a 7-day free trial, it isn’t worth skipping after all laziness takes its toll.

To Wrap Up

Copywriting is an art which cannot be learned overnight, so tools are there to help you get better at it. It's not about what you say, but how you say it.

You need to know your audience, and speak to them on their level. There are a few key tools that will help you understand everything there is to. Try and pick what suits you the best!
